The Howell Observatory will be open on the dates shown below if the sky is at least 75%
clear, the outside temperature is above 32 degrees Fahrenheit, and someone other than the
operator shows up within 20 minutes of opening. The observatory will be opened 30 minutes
past sunset on each of the days found below. There will be a brief sky orientation at the
beginning of each session followed by observation of interesting celestial objects during
that specific time. Questions on astronomy or astrophysics are welcome anytime during a
session.
